WINTER BREAK is Coming Soon!!

During Winter Break,  Kids' Place will be open:

Dec. 23, Dec. 26 & 27 and Dec. 30,  Jan. 2 & 3

We are CLOSED on Dec. 24 & 25 and on Dec. 31 & Jan. 1

Please check to make sure you are signed up for care if your child needs to attend during break.  Log on to your Kids' Place account or check with a teacher in Room 112.

We have lots of fun activities planned.  We are going to The Big Thrill Factory, Park Tavern and Elm Creek to go snow tubing.

School Release Day - Wednesday, November 27

We only have 10 kids signed up right now for this day.  Please take a minute to let us know if you need care on this day before Thanksgiving.

We will be swimming at Central and going to the Rec Center for open ice skating.

Register for Nov 1 school release day

Nov 1 is a school release day. It was missing from our registration form. Please go online now and register for Nov 1 if you need child care for that day. Online registration will close on Friday Oct. 18

We will all be going to Rollergardens that morning from 8:45-12:30. Roller skates are provides or you may bring your own. It costs $3.00 to rent rollerblades. Your child may bring money to spend on arcade games or at the concession stand.

Fun Events Around Town in October

Oct 12 & 13 - 12:30-4:30  Ride the Trolley at Lake Harriet and pick up a pumpkin at the end of the line. Pumpkins are $3.00 + the regular fare to ride the trolley. No advance tickets.

Oct 18 & 19 - 32nd annual halloween party at Westwood Nature Center. The creatures at Westwood Hills Nature Center have nature games, refreshments and special activities waiting for you and your family. Pre-registration required. SLP Park and Rec.

Oct 25 - 6:30-8:00 Little Goblin Bash and Pumpkin Hunt

Come in your costume and boo-gie down! The banquet room will be turned into Halloween central with fun music and Halloween treats supplied by Byerly’s. All registered participants will get to pick out a pumpkin from our Wolfe Park Pumpkin Patch! Volunteers welcome. After the event, enjoy free ice skating and free skate rental until 9 p.m. Pre-registration required. Walk-in registrations not allowed. SLP Park and Rec.

September 27 - Early Release

REMEMBER:  Bring your swimsuit, towel and goggles for swimming in the Central Pool tomorrow.  We swim from 1:30 - 2:15 :)

REMINDER: Sign up for all remaining early release, late start and full release days

Hi Room 112 Families,

Please remember to go to your Community Ed account and look for the "sign up for non-school days" box.  Here you will be able to sign up for the remaining days this year.  You can make changes (additions) up to 14 days in advance and unfortunately, you will not be able to delete days.  You can contact a teacher in Room 112 if you need to add after 14 days in advance or if you need to delete a day 14 days in advance.  We will get that information to Terri in the office and she will make those changes to your account/contract.

Any questions, please let us know.  We know this is all a little confusing, but once we get used to this new system for registering, it should be easier for all of us :)
